What is this?
This bike ride will take place on Saturday morning, October 1, 2022, beginning and ending at the Gettysburg Area Recreation Park. Three different routes are being offered to accommodate riders of all experience levels. All rides will travel through the Gettysburg National Military Park and over the picturesque Sachs Covered Bridge. The longer rides will also wind their way through the quiet roads of southern Adams County. To make this event complete, a lunch is provided after the rides. Preregistration is available online until noon on Sept 30. Ride-day registration is also available and opens at 8:00 a.m. A free BBQ lunch is provided starting at 11 a.m. A t-shirt is included in the price of registration for those registering by Sept 5. While some of our costs have increased this year, we have opted to hold the registration fee to $35 for those pre-registering and $40 on the day of ride. We ask that you consider making an extra donation to support our work if you are able. Proceeds will be used to design, develop, and maintain trails and bike routes in Adams County. HABPI is currently pursuing several trail projects including the next section of a bicycling path in Gettysburg called the Gettysburg Inner Loop as well as a multi-use rail-trail from Littlestown, PA south to Taneytown, MD.
