Over 50 people enjoyed good food, rides and comradery at the annual HBC Picnic at Fort Hunter on Sunday, July 24. Dave Young was head chef and had help from Dean Geiger and Mary Beth Yandrasitz with food preparation. They served grilled chicken and hot dogs and HBC members brought lots of tasty side dishes, desserts and salads to share.
It was the hottest day of the year, but some cloud cover moved in to help keep us comfortable. The shade provided by the pavilion and the trees was very welcome and we enjoyed catching up with friends we hadn’t seen for a while.
Diana Bermingham was on hand to recruit cookie bakers for the Three Creek Century and Diane Riley proudly showed off the new three Creek Century 20th Anniversary jersey.
