What is this?
I led this same ride in May and the nice route justifies doing it again, especially on a nice fall day. Plan to stay for lunch at Caffe 101 which offers pleasant outdoor seating near the lake.
Departure time: 9:00 a.m.
Departure place: Boiling Spring Tavern, 1 E. First St., Boiling Springs. The Tavern is closed but we can park in their lot. Restrooms are available in Caffe 101 which is diagonally across the street from the tavern. https://foursquare.com/v/cafe-101/4c9b7295db10b60ceb439b6d/menu
Pace: 12-13 mph
Route: 32 miles of gentle terrain with some gradual hills. Rest stop near the mid-point of the ride. Rest rooms & water but no food.
https://ridewithgps.com/routes/43018233 Thanks to Peter Vitins for sharing this route. We will will pass the road to Kings Gap. Riders are welcome to do the climb and meet us at Caffe 101 later. It will not be part of the group ride.
