What is this?
The next ride will be on Saturday, 3 June. The subject will be “The Impact of Artillery on the Battle” ( pun intended ). This topic will take us to the major battle scenes of all three days, and will cover a lot of the battlefield. As a note for new riders, this is not a difficult ride at all. We only cover short distances at a time and stop frequently to present what happened along with interesting facts about the battle. The Army calls Artillery “The
Queen of Battle” and this presentation will clearly explain why they do. We do stop for lunch which will be another break.
Due to Parking Lot # 3 being under construction, we will meet in the parking lot of the Lutheran Seminary’s Museum ( The Cupula Building ). The best street address is 111 Seminary Ridge. As always, be there not later than 8:45 AM and bike helmets are required. The rain date will be Sunday, 4 June and I will send out a notice Friday night should that be necessary.
Thanks,
Buck Buchanan
