What is this?
Bike the Capital Area Greenbelt, Fort Hunter to the Five Senses Garden and back!
9:30 AM Saturday, May 6, 2023
Speed 8 - 10 mph ("Learning to Linger" pace)
Distance 24 miles
Join Karl Martz for a trail ride on the west, south and north sections of the Harrisburg Greenbelt. This ride avoids most hills and busy streets, and is primarily on the trail sections of the Greenbelt.
Meet at 9:15 AM at Fort Hunter (river side) Pavilion and be ready to depart for the ride at 9:30 AM.
We will ride the Greenbelt south into Harrisburg and then east from Steelton to the parking lot across from the Five Senses Garden behind the Harrisburg Mall. After reaching the Gardens we will turn around and ride back west to Penn Dot, and then go north up the river along the trail to our starting point. Helmets are required. In-ear listening devices are not permitted.
Temperature on Saturday is predicted to be in the 70 degrees.
Questions? Email Karl at madriver54@comcast.net or call 717-991-0409. (On the morning of the ride call Karl on his cell phone at 717-991-0409.)
