Meet at 9:30 AM at the Newville Cumberland Valley Rail Trail Parking Lot (23 McFarland St, Newville, PA 17241) for a 30-mile ride on the roads around Newville. We will check out the Halloween theme decorations at the Newville Gargoyle House and the Meadowbrooke Gourds.
After a short break at Jaymee-Lee’s Quick Stop, we will head out to the Cumberland Valley’s Big Sky Country to enjoy the colors on the mountains to the north. The ride will conclude with the long 5-mile pedaling Whiskey Run downhill back to Newville.
Note – the first 1.5 miles and the last 1 mile will be on the Cumberland Valley Rail Trail to avoid a couple of hills. The trail surface is crushed limestone, suitable for road bikes.
