A Celebration of Life for Kay Fullen, HBC member and spouse of Dick Norford, will be held Saturday 22 August @ 1 pm at the Five Senses Garden. The remembrance will be led by Dr. Ski (former HACC president and a close friend) and include a Butterfly Release.
Susan Tussey will lead those who wish to ride to the celebration of life from City Island, leaving promptly at 12:00 pm. Start point is the center of the Senators Baseball parking lot. Due to expected pedestrian congestion, bikes will not be allowed in the Gardens. Instead, we will take a road across from the Greenbelt Parking lot up towards the Nursing home / McDonalds parking area where a bike corral will be set up with monitors to protect the bikes. It is a short walk down the Greenbelt path to the Ceremony. Expect small groups, 10 mph and 12 mph pace.
Those who want to drive should use the same parking lot off Paxton Street entry by Turkey Hill and McDonalds. Look for the sign along the fence that points to the Five Senses Gardens.
In the case of inclement weather, the bike ride will be canceled by 11:00.
