About this event

RSVP by Friday evening so I know you are coming : MRiordan95@comcast.net

We will cross the Clark's Valley cable bridge twice, once at the start and then at the conclusion of the day!!! You must be able to get across this bridge, about 100 yards from the parking lot. NO DOGS allowed on this hike!!!!
.
Be prepared for a challenging day on snow covered terrain that may contain some icy spots.
.
Meet at 9 AM at the Appalachian Trail crossing of Clarks Valley Rd (state route 325), 10 miles up the valley from the 3B Ice Cream Shop in Dauphin. The actual trailhead is 5 miles further up the road but has limited parking.
.
This 8-mile hike will have some challenges as we head up the Stone Tower Trail to the village of Yellow Springs, an abandoned mining town located above Dehart Reservoir. From there, the Appalachian Trail is easy walking as it utilizes old abandoned forest roads. After a short visit with the General, we will descend the Sand Spring Trail down to the Clark’s Valley.
