The forecast is looking nice for our ride on Friday night. I hope you can join us for this easy 10-12 mile ride through several Mechanicsburg area neighborhoods. We need to be back by 7:30 p.m. to enjoy dinner at one of my favorite restaurants, Hellenic Kouzina, where they offer a wide assortment of delicious Greek specialities as well as salads and even a turkey burger for the less adventurous diners. Start time: 6:00 p.m.

Start place: Giant Foods, 5310 Simpson Ferry Road, Mechanicsburg. Park in the rear of the lot. There are restrooms in the front of the store.

Pace: We can't go fast while meandering through the neighborhoods, so expect a 10-11 mph pace.

If the weather looks iffy, watch for an update by 4:30 p.m.



We are leaving from the Giant because parking isn't always easy to find near the restaurant. By the time we are done with our ride, I expect parking won't be a problem, but consider biking to the restaurant after the ride. It's only about 2 blocks from the Giant, so getting back afterwards isn't a problem. There is a fence there that we lock our bikes to. Be sure to have lights on your bike if you plant to do this, though, and don't forget to bring cash or a credit card!
