Published on 4/14/2019
The Northwest Lancaster County River Trail runs along the Susquehanna River from Bainbridge PA to Columbia, PA. Most of the trail is paved. The trail is located between the Susquehanna River and Pennsylvania Route 441.

We will meet around 9:50 am at Koser Park in Bainbridge. The park address is 107 Race Street. Race Street intersects route 441 on the southern side of Bainbridge. The park is adjacent to the river. The bike ride will begin promptly at 11:00 am. Helmets are required on Harrisburg Bicycle Club (HBC) rides. If you need to answer a phone call while riding, stop and pull over to answer the call. In-the-ear listening devices are not allowed on HBC rides. This is an out-and-back ride. Bring water a snack and money for lunch. We will make a rest stop in the middle of the ride at the Columbia Crossing River Trails Center. The Center has modern rest rooms and great river and bridge views.

We will have lunch at a pub in Marietta on our way back from Columbia. The forecast for Wednesday is partly sunny and pleasant with a high temperature of 69 and a low temperature around 50 at the start of the ride. Winds are predicted to be 7 mph from the ENE with gusts to 10 mph. If it is raining Wednesday morning the ride will be cancelled. We are starting the ride at 10 am so that it is warm enough to enjoy bike riding. If the river level is too high we may reschedule this ride.
