Bike the trail section of the Greenbelt

Speed 8 - 10 mph ("Learning to Linger" pace)
Distance 18 to 20 miles
Join Karl Martz for a trail ride on the west, south and north sections of the Harrisburg Greenbelt. This ride avoids hills and busy streets, and is primarily on the trail sections of the Greenbelt.
Meet at 8:15 AM of the Green Street extension where it joins North 6th Street in Harrisburg. This location is where Interstate 81 passes over North 6thStreet.
The ride will start promptly at 8:30 AM. We will ride the Greenbelt south into Harrisburg and then east from Steelton to the parking lot across from the Five Senses Garden behind the Harrisburg Mall. After reaching the Gardens we will turn around and ride back west to Penn Dot, and then go north up the river along the trail to our starting point. If riders want to, we may ride one loop around City Island Helmets are required. In-ear listening devices are not permitted.
For GPS users, the decimal degrees for the corner of Green Street Extension and North 6th Street are: N 40.30963 W 76.8943. The temperature is predicted to be 72 -79 degrees during our ride.
