What is this?
This weeks ride (05/27/2023) will depart promptly from East Hanover Community Park at 9 AM and cover 27.3 miles at a C pace (11-13 mph). No-one will be dropped! The loop (East Hanover Loop) includes mostly rural roads and rolling hills with an elevation change of about 1575 feet as shown at https://ridewithgps.com/routes/38530402
Weather looks favorable and a rest stop is planned around 9 miles out at Funcks Gas Station on Rt. 934.
Seven experienced riders enjoyed the rolling countryside of the 27.3 mile East Hanover Loop. No mechanical nor other issues slowed us down. The route includes about 1400-1500 feet of elevation change which we covered at an 11 MPH pace to finish in our intended C pace range. Remnant gravel from a tar and chip on Ono Road presented a need to take care but we were treated by adult and nestling Bald Eagle sightings on Pine Road. Very pleasant Memorial Day weekend ride with a great HBC group!
