What is this?
Century Volunteer Ride and Lunch

The picnic will be held rain or shine. Volunteer should come and enjoy some good food and an opportunity to meet with 3CC Coordinators.

The Century Committee recognizes that volunteers may not have time to ride during the actual Three Creek Century event on Sept. 18. That’s why we are having the Century Volunteer Ride and Lunch on Sunday, Sept. 11 at the Penn Township Fire Volunteer Fire Company, 1750 Pine Road in Newville. Directions can be found at www.threecreekcentury.com Roads will be marked and cue sheets will be provided by 8:00 a.m. You can ride 25, 29, 51, 75, or 104 miles or the Cumberland Valley Rail Trail. Just plan to be back at the start by 1:00 p.m. for the complementary lunch. We also would like to know if you found any problem areas along the routes, so they can be fixed prior to Century day. Howard Ross will lead a ride on the 51 mile Big Spring Meander route at 8:00 a.m. at a 12-14 mph pace. Michael Floyd will lead a 29 mile ride on the Opossum Lake Route beginning at 9:30 a.m. Marilyn Chastek will lead a group ride on volunteer day beginning at the firehouse at 10:30 a.m. on the 25 mile Yellow Breeches Ramble. Pace: 11-13 mph. Anyone else willing to lead a ride that morning? Let me know. Mchastek2009@gmail.com Thanks to Christine Kramer for delivering the picnic spread!
