What is this?
This will be another 52 Miler. Start location is East Hanover Park in Shellsville, about three miles East of Grantville. 7:30 Start. We will go over the ridge at Piketown and then head to Fort Hunter. The route will run through Linglestown, Hoernerstown, Union Deposit and Grantville before returning to the park. There will be an estimated 2,950' of cumulative ascent.<br /><br />You might need to copy and paste the link that follows into you browser as it might not be hot. https://ridewithgps.com/routes/40460779<br /><br />The early start time is due to the high forecast for the day as 86F.<br /><br />This is a C+ ride with a midride break and other stops as needed. Pace 13 - 15 mph ride average. Bring plenty of electrolyte type of drink and an optional snack. This ride will be hilly and rolling with a long stretch down Fishing Creek Valley Road.
