I have been a member of the HBC for about 10 years now, joining soon after I started riding bicycle again (as an adult). I served as President of the club in 2011 and 2012 and now serve on the club's Technology committee. I feel I have gotten so much satisfaction, fun and benefit from the club that I should do my part to help the club continue to thrive. One area in particular where I have become involved is on the website and trying to facilitate better communication and create a sense of community through more interactive features. I live in Williamsburg Va with my wife of 38 years, Debbie. We have two daughters, both married and “on their own”. I retired from TE Connectivity (formally Tyco Electronics) where I was employed since 1982 in Information Technology and support of TE’s internal IT Infrastructure. I enjoy road biking and rail-trail riding. I particularly enjoy multi-day tours and have done RAGBRAI, Bike Virginia, Bike the Erie Canal and multiple HBC Tours (Spring Fling, Fall Tour, Frack and Back, KAMEL). I also enjoy the club regular rides, but my work schedule makes it difficult to participate as often as I would like. Outside of biking, I also enjoy golfing and spending time with my grandson Jack.
