Please be aware that Spanglers Mill Road (Route 2031) over the Yellow Breeches Creek in Lower Allen and Fairview Townships in Cumberland County will be closed for about 5 months. These two bridges will be replaced during the same time, tentatively scheduled to begin mid-June and completed in late October (approximately 145 days). There will be an 11 mile detour as well.
Bill Wierman, a former officer and President of HBC, passed away in November 2017.
Dear Harrisburg Bicycle Club,
I want to extend my sincere thanks to all of you for your generous gift of $100, in memory of Bill, to the New Cumberland Fire Department.
This donation will have an impact on funds needed to operate an all-volunteer fire company
Bill supported and volunteered for N.C.F.D. as he believed this organization was vital to New Cumberland with potential in aiding surrounded areas if needed.
Thanks so much for your friendship, generosity, and support. Please let people know I am grateful for everything the club has done.
God Bless All,
Dear Harrisburg Bicycle Club,
On behalf of the New Cumberland Fire Department Officers and Members, I would like to take this time to “Thank You” for your financial gift that you provided to the Fire Department in memory of William (Bill) Wierman.
Bill was an outstanding person as well as a great member of our department and will be greatly missed. Again “Thank You”,
James I. Benson
Path Pedaler is an internet travel show that centers around cycling. In each 20-25 minute episode we explore bike trails around the country and all the exciting things to do and see along them. Our host Mary Jo Monte finds great places to eat, wineries, micro breweries to sample the local flavor and quaint little B&B's to spend the night. She visits museums, state parks, nature preserves and has ridden trains, gone canoeing and even stopped at the Barter Theater in Abingdon, Virginia. You will learn about the history of the area while enjoying beautiful scenery.
It is totally free!
We are just getting started and each show keeps getting better. With your help of promoting Path Pedaler to your friends and neighbors hopefully we can get more people interested in riding!
