Silver Spokes Email Ride Ride. 30.5miles @ 12.3 mph

Cynthia Gorski (L), Dave Kurth, Howard Davison, Dave Miller, Jim and Ellen Thomas

Six riders met at Joe Carr Field with only 2 driving to the start.  The temperature ranged from 29 to 39 degrees for our ride which was rather balmy and felt quite warm after the freeze we just went through, and yesterdays 40+ degrees cleaned off the roads nicely.  We headed out toward Mt. Holly Springs and I was so busy talking to Dave K. that I accidentally cut out about 5 miles of my route so when we got on Leidigh Rd. I added some miles by talking Criswell Dr.  You know the old poop loop which is no longer a loop but an in and out now.  It was nice to ride along the creek and there was even a fisherman sitting along the bank trying to get a catch.  After we doubled back we climbed two short hills, Gutshall and Red Tank.  I added a few more miles by taking Autumn Rd. that quaint little tucked away gem.  Mike Loe was riding along Park Dr. when he spotted us turn and he joined us for a while.  We stopped at Sheetz for a break and then rode through Mt. Holly Springs Cemetery over to Ladnor Rd.  From there we eventually made our way back.  The day was fantastic so when we finished I asked the group if anyone wanted to ride a bit more.  There were no takers so I escorted Jim and Ellen back to South Middleton Park where their car was.  Dave Kurth got more miles in by riding home.
