HBC Finger Lakes Trip   June 8-11, 2017

All on-campus rooms are filled and the dinner at Belhurst Castle is also full. One option is for you to make arrangements to stay in a Geneva area motel. You can then select Option 2 on the registration form and request cue sheets, breakfasts and the socials, if desired. Even if you are staying off campus, please submit a registration form so we know you are coming and can keep you informed about what's happening before and during the weekend. You can also be placed on the waiting list for an on-campus room and/or the dinner. Contact This email address is being protected from spambots. We are returning to the Finger Lakes area to enjoy the pleasant riding, spectacular scenery and fine wines.  We will be staying at Hobart-William Smith College in Geneva, NY, which is on the northern tip of Seneca Lake.  The accommodations are townhouse units with 4 or 5 single bedrooms, a living room, an unfurnished kitchen and patio.  Each person will be given a packet of cue sheets and maps, (unless you choose not to receive them), for routes ranging from 15 to 100 miles, including some off-road trails.  Most routes start at the college but some have off-site start points.  You can choose to ride with a designated group leader or head out on the route of you choice.  The only restriction is that you not ride alone since no sag will be available.  Organized rides with leaders will be offered Thursday evening (if a leader volunteers), Friday, Saturday and early Sunday.  There’s always plenty to do and see in the area whether you are on or off the bike.

New Option: Dinner at beautiful Belhurst Castle, overlooking Seneca Lake!

We have reservations for 50 people at 6:30 p.m. for a 3 course meal at a truly distinctive restaurant venue for only $34 per person. Details about the meal can be found under the registration tab. (Note: This is not the wine pairing dinner.) However, I highly recommend that you arrive early to view the stunning grounds and to go into the gift shop where you can enjoy a wine tasting before dinner. Belhurst Castle is only about 2 miles south of the college, on Route 14. Learn more about Belhurst at https://www.belhurst.com

The cost is $148.50 per person for 3 nights lodging (Thurs., Fri. and Sat.), 3 breakfasts, 3 evening socials, bed linens, maps & cue sheets, a pillow and 1 towel.  Payment is due at the time of registration, no later than May 6.  It may be possible to stay extra nights (Tues. or Wednesday only) at the college at a cost of $37.50 per person per night.  Contact me for details.

If you prefer motel accommodations, there are many choices in the area.  The charge assessed to those staying off campus will be for meals, socials, maps and cue sheets, if desired.  (See registration for details.)  Even if you are staying off campus, you are asked to complete a registration form so that I can be sure to have your contact information.

A registration form is available here.  For more information contact Marilyn Chastek This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. 717-798-4537.

*The first 45 people to register will be assigned to air conditioned townhouses.  Additional registrants may be assigned to non-AC units.  However, nights in the Finger Lakes region are usually quite cool, so the lack of AC is rarely a problem.

Make it a Tour!
