You can support both Recycle Bicycle of Harrisburg and HBC while riding in the Three Creek Century by using the Crowdrise link at www.threecreekcentury.com to register for the Century. Once you have registered, use Crowdrise to create your own fundraising page, so your friends and family can support your effort to raise funds for RBH. You can also use the Crowdrise link to support an RBH team rider or to give a donation.
Recycle Bicycle, located near Maclay Street in Harrisburg, provides the essential community service of making bicycles and bike repairs available to people at no cost. These bikes are often the only means of transportation these people have to get to work, stores, medical appointments, and other important destinations. The RBH “Earn a Bike” program teaches responsibility, repair skills and the value of volunteerism. RBH volunteers also fix hundreds of bikes yearly to give to disadvantaged children at Christmas or whenever needed. In addition, RBH helps recover stolen bikes and return them to their owners. For more information about RBH go to http://recyclebicycleharrisburg.org
The HBC Three Creek Century is being held Sunday, Sept 17 and riders have the choice of beautiful routes of 100, 75, 50 and 25 miles, in addition to the 18 mile Cumberland Valley Rail Trail option.
